After the 2008 crash, Ron lost several hundred million dollars in potential revenue from 32 commercial developments in nine different states all working simultaneously. Many of these projects had commercial loans from banks totaling approximately $50 million in personally guaranteed debt and several million more in private equity capital.
Simultaneously, Ron took an 80% drop in income on a corporate and personal level, all within 30 days after September 6th.
Any reasonable person would assume this terrible time in his life should have wiped him out and kept him financially and mentally depressed for years to come and maybe forever. That’s exactly what it would do for most. In fact, he knows a couple developers that ate a bullet because they couldn’t handle it.
Lenders chased him and got big judgments against him that still remain to this day. The reason he tells this story is because he wants you to know that all this adversity did not take away his assets or his ability to function and make money.
